Eviction Angels
Eviction Angels operates as a rapid-response intervention program designed to stop homelessness before it starts. We work by identifying families, seniors, and at-risk individuals who are facing immediate displacement due to short-term financial crises or legal notices. Unlike traditional aid that can take weeks to process, we operate with a sense of urgency—often partnering with local law enforcement to step in before a physical eviction occurs. By providing emergency rental assistance, mediation with landlords, and resource navigation, we ensure that a temporary setback doesn't lead to a permanent loss of housing.

How We Create Impact

-
The Operation: We act as a "community buffer." When an eviction notice is served, we aim to be the first call. We verify the need, negotiate a resolution with the property owner, and provide the necessary funding or legal support to stabilize the tenancy.
-
The Beneficiaries: Our primary focus is on low-income families with children, vulnerable seniors, and individuals with mental health challenges who would be most traumatized by the eviction process.
-
The Law Enforcement Connection: By resolving these cases peacefully, we remove the need for law enforcement to act as "armed escorts" during a move-out. This protects the mental health of officers by reducing their exposure to high-conflict, traumatic family removals and allows them to focus on true public safety.
